Casual Saturdays

Yesterday was a shopping saturday for me, even though I needed to go to shop the whole day, it did not stop me to be excited to go to the shoe sale in NBC tent. After an hour of looking around the whole venue of I'm a Shoe Lover sale event by the LIST Group, I saw a pair of yellow wedges that I just can't get enough of. Satisfied, I left the shoe bazaar happy. I wore this shimmer long sleeves top paired with red hot shorts for a statement piece. Then I added black accessories to add strong colors to the red and white shades. And because I was going to a shoe sale, I needed to wear comfy flats for me to run around quick and spot the shoes that I want.

Playboy Bunny

Fall Winter 2012 trends are fast approaching. Black leather, metallics, and masculine shapes... It's a season to celebrate the power of women. Since it is officially June, start of rainy season in the Philippines, I started updating my wardrobe and lookbook with Fall Winter trends, and put out my black leather vest and metallic shorts in front.

I feel this outfit as Lady Gaga-ish, with black ensemble and the metallic silver neck piece. Also a bit Tomb Raider-ish, and put on a braid Lara Croft number on my hair do. I did it myself. This is my current obsession. I have realized that I really suck at fixing my hair for events or dates or just hanging out with friends, and I am now trying and experimenting hairstyles that I could do easily. I did this by putting all my hair on the left side of my shoulders, then divided my hair into three sections. Then, criss-crossed the three sections to form a braid. Finally, I put on some braided hair ties from Goody, and hair pins to keep my loose hair in place.

I matched a silver neck piece to my studded black dress which was used as a top. Then I put on some rings to complete my look.

Honestly, I failed the "woman-on-top" look that I was trying to achieve in this outfit because I was on the rush in the morning. I forgot to wear pumps instead of these silver metallic flats. Oh boy, the next time I will try to plan my outfit, including shoes, the night before. Hehe!

TOPSHOP body con dress (used as top). H&M shorts. FOREVER21 vest, rings.
H&M neckpiece. THE RAMP flats. Aldo ring.

What do you think of my Playboy Bunny number? =)

Work Wear Diary

This is what I wore to a job interview today. Yes it's not exactly corporate attire, but this is what I get to wear when applying to enter the fashion industry. Lucky? More like, risky. Showing up for the interview is one, but looking your part for the job is another. Incorporating my personal style and the latest trends today without overpowering and going way beyond the work environment is hard to master.

I chose this color palette because I was inspired by Spring Summer trends. The color tangerine as top would be a nice and interesting choice, and an in-season black pleated mullet skirt, would consider my outfit as "in", fashionable, and elegant.

I wore a tribal blazer on top of my outfit to keep things more interesting and formal. It's also inspired by a Spring Summer trend - aztec.

I paired a slim belt and an orange ring to accessorize my look. I kept things simple and elegant by minimal accessories.

What would you wear to a fashion job interview?
