It's All in Black and White

Another day in the corporate world, I decided to dress all in black and white. Found these amazing white slacks from ZARA, with a black waist band and a matching studded slim belt for it. I loved it the moment I saw it! To keep me warm and to make the "corporate/business attire" look, I wore a blazer over my sleeveless black and white stripes top. And tada, I love how the gold buttons from my black and white polo stands out in the middle.

To spice things up a bit, I wore this black pumps with pink heels. This is to get out of the monotonous black and white ensemble I was wearing, and to show my personality amidst the business-y and super corporate job that I have. I always don't fail to have an element of surprise in my outfits.

This look is a normal corporate working day for me, how about you?
What do you wear to work?

The Upper East Side

Went to a fine dining Filipino restaurant near San Miguel Malacanang for a dinner with high school barkada. Casa Roces, formerly a house which turned into this beautiful old style yet highly sophisticated and classic Filipino restaurant.

This is the cleopatra chair available on the 2nd floor. It comes with a mirror beside it, and facing two beautifully designed bathrooms.

This is the sitting area of one of the function rooms above. So classic high society.

This is the beautifully decorated bathroom I was talking about. Can't resist not taking a shot inside it!

Since the restaurant was a bit formal, I opted for a vintage/classy look with a lace halter top and lace mini skirt, with main hues of black and white. I put on a black belt to add more blacks to the almost all-white ensemble. And then, since I was going for a vintage classic look, why not use these amazing silver shoes with glass heels? Love the femme dainty feel of those!

This is the lace halter top, with a brooch which gives a Victorian feel to the outfit.

And this is the lace mini skirt which matches the top perfectly.

I added some golds to the look to look more accented and defined. These gold cuff and ring adds the Grecian vibe or the goddess feel to my outfit, which adds more sophistication and class.

These are the ah-mazing silver shoes with glass heels. Got them a few years ago from Hong Kong and barely used them. When I prepared this outfit, I just knew that it is time to bring these babies out.

And this is the gang... JACKI!

My seat mate, Audrey.

Red Black Roll

On a Saturday movie date, I wore this red, black and white number. It's cute, sweet and edgy at the same time, perfect for looking trendy and sweet strolling in the mall with your date on a weekend. I balanced the sweetness of the cropped lace top and black crystal necklace on top with the red hot short shorts using an edgy and loud studded wide belt. I topped the look with an equally edgy studded sling bag and two black and brown rings. Lastly, I found these cute red studded sandals that I haven't wear for almost a year at the back of my shoe closet and decided that it will be fun to add it to my look.

What would you wear on a Saturdate?

Plain Jane

Decided to go all out and all femme in the flesh yesterday with a white lace number. It's so dainty, young and fresh. This outfit gives me the feeling of "grace under pressure" because it's so simple, literally just a plain white dress, some brown accessories and shoes, and I'm good to go. When in doubt, I go for a simple dress in a solid color, and just add accessories that match. Then, tada, I'm ready.

I love this dress because it's naughty and nice with a cut-out back.

I matched this brown belt and 2 brown rings, which gave accents to my look. One is victorian style (left), and the other one is vintage looking (right), giving the feeling of Old Noir to the outfit.

And this is how I looked yesterday. A Plain Jane.   =)

Ever New lace dress. Vero Moda belt. Forever21 rings. ZARA wedges.

By the way, it was also the first anniversary of me and my baby. To celebrate this special occasion, we had dinner at a very good Italian restaurant in Makati, named Masseto. Because I like Italian cuisine, and he surprised me with this resto.

The interiors of Masseto were inspired by Euro-Continental architecture with dim lighting, velvet seats, leather couches, and tall wine glasses.

We especially love their wine glasses, the dark colors of the interior, and the romantic relaxed mood of the restaurant.

First up is Pecorino Ravioli, Mushrooms, and Truffle Sauce as appetizer. If you think this dish is not that appealing because of this photo, then think twice. We both can't get enough of this.

Masseto Pizza

Tagliolini pasta (home-made pasta) in crab concoctions. I especially love this dish! Tagliolili pasta is their in-house pasta, which is thinner than Fetuccini.

And this is us, about to blow our anniversary cake from The Cake Club of Diamond Hotel.

Mont Blanc, made in fresh chestnut paste, Chantilly cream, prunes soaked in dark rum on almond tart. Sounds delicious? Yes it is!
