Friday Night Out

Went to an AdCreate Party tonight, Redtown. It was one of those days when I open my closet and close it again because I have nothing to wear. Sick and tired of my usual pile of clothes, I sat on my desk and began browsing through lookbook for outfit ideas. But instead, I found myself wanting to shop to update my wardrobe. At the last minute, I decided to toss out key pieces that I think will suit tonight's event. And then, voila, I formed a one-of-a-kind look with 3 pieces of clothing from my usual wardrobe.

In this look, I wore an asymmetrical bodycon dress which I think is too short, that's why I decided to throw on a glitter black mini skirt inside to make it longer. It did not just make my dress longer, but also instantly added a unique kind of hem to my dress.

Instead of the usual black asymmetrical dress, I spiced things up a bit by wearing this gold off-shoulder on top of it, giving a peek-a-boo kind of uniqueness to my look.

And this black chain waist band to add shape and attitude to my ensemble.

Kept my accessories simple by wearing similar shades of gold and black.

I haven't worn these babies for a long time now, and I just knew it would be perfect for my look tonight.

This Is Not A Gloomy Day

It was a rainy and windy day yesterday which led me to create such a gloomy and sophisticated outfit. I did not want to go to a slouchy form-and-figureless outfit as it is usually is during lazy bedweather days. I came up with a stylish and a more figure-hugging one which instantly puts me on a happy mood despite of the gloomy day.

I wore this textured dark blue top from Warehouse which I bought ages ago and has completely forgotten about it, with a black patent belt to emphasize my waist.

And then I added killer and edgy accessories and bag.

And black leather leggings for some rawrrr in my look

And lastly, an equally stylish shoe wear.

Warehouse top. Dorothy Perkins belt. Only leggings.
Stella Luna flats. Charles and Keith bag. Forever21 silver cuff.

Geometric Fun

I have always loved color blocking, especially those involving bright hues and happy colors like this outfit. Some of my favorite colors like orange, yellow and black are used in this super fun and carefree look. I found this dress a month ago in Jessica, and the moment I tried it on, I immediately wanted it. It's perfect! It's actually a classic shift dress with a geometric orange and black print, but for this look, I wore it less formal by using this black belt to add more shape.

And who wouldn't think that wearing a necklace over a printed dress and belt is too much? Well I don't. and I think my accessories are fashionably fine. I even added an orange ring to balance my look.

This orange bag matches my outfit perfectly. Sometimes one has to add different shades of a hue to increase emphasis and effect in one look.

I love these light weight wedges from Shoe Goddess. It's around 4-5 inches high but not much of a burden when walking because of the light weight of the shoes and the easy wearable part of it. And I love the mustard yellow color, so fun and young.

Love the color match!

What do you think? xoxo

Flower Power

Ok, I know what you're thinking. You are probably thinking how insane I am to wear such an outfit in a rainy day. Of the 100 days of summer, I chose to wear this floral number in an extraordinary rainy and windy day which is today, probably thinking that today would be a normal usual sunny day in July rather than a bed-weather one with storm signals all over northern Luzon. Well when I planned this outfit, I didn't know what today's weather would be like, which obviously explains that I plan my lookbook outfits way ahead of time.

Since the floral top is already too messy and loud, I decided to wear basic and elegant accessories to tone down and at the same time, dress up my outfit.

I love how the crystal floral necklace matches my crystal cuff watch and this cute crystal ring. It's like I found a set made in heaven! These basic yet elegant accessories instantly dress up my casual outfit and make it more functionally trendy. They also tone down my loud floral statement.

I love this look on me today. It's basic because of the usual top + shorts + flats formula, yet hip and trendy because of the choice of clothing and accessories. Do you agree with me? =)

The Upper East Side

Went to a fine dining Filipino restaurant near San Miguel Malacanang for a dinner with high school barkada. Casa Roces, formerly a house which turned into this beautiful old style yet highly sophisticated and classic Filipino restaurant.

This is the cleopatra chair available on the 2nd floor. It comes with a mirror beside it, and facing two beautifully designed bathrooms.

This is the sitting area of one of the function rooms above. So classic high society.

This is the beautifully decorated bathroom I was talking about. Can't resist not taking a shot inside it!

Since the restaurant was a bit formal, I opted for a vintage/classy look with a lace halter top and lace mini skirt, with main hues of black and white. I put on a black belt to add more blacks to the almost all-white ensemble. And then, since I was going for a vintage classic look, why not use these amazing silver shoes with glass heels? Love the femme dainty feel of those!

This is the lace halter top, with a brooch which gives a Victorian feel to the outfit.

And this is the lace mini skirt which matches the top perfectly.

I added some golds to the look to look more accented and defined. These gold cuff and ring adds the Grecian vibe or the goddess feel to my outfit, which adds more sophistication and class.

These are the ah-mazing silver shoes with glass heels. Got them a few years ago from Hong Kong and barely used them. When I prepared this outfit, I just knew that it is time to bring these babies out.

And this is the gang... JACKI!

My seat mate, Audrey.

Kim, me, Audrey, and Jin. (missing Christine)

Paint the Town in Pink

It was a work + shopping + dinner with old friends day. I had to wear comfortable yet stylish clothes to feel good during shopping at greenhills and also to look fab at the dinner. I opted for a nice and easy look with a cute top and shorts and comfortable wedges. I paired vintage and dainty accessories to keep my sweet look, and edgy and loud wedges to make a statement. In an ordinary and simple outfit like this, the "papansin" wedges is the statement piece. I felt good the whole day, without worrying that I have compromised or sacrificed my stylish side for comfortable shopping.
